Nearly 2,000 years ago followers of Jesus were being jeered, flogged, tortured, sawed in two and killed by the sword.
They were being forced to wander the deserts and live in caves and holes in the ground.
Despite all of this, they did not despair or feel crushed, abandoned, or destroyed.
Why not?
These Christ followers kept their eyes fixed on the unseen, and other Christians prayed continually for them, helped them and lived their lives “bound with them.”
This is not just ancient history.
